Welcome to our Area Paddling GuideThis guide is a work in progress, much like our rivers and lakes that The Almighty Up Above is forever changing and so will our guide. We hope this guide will help you enjoy and respect our local paddling. Our Disclaimer:The descriptions, nature and classification of the runs, potential hazards, scout-ability, water levels and almost everything else listed in our guide is purely subjective and may be the result of an oxygen deprived brain. The lengths, gradients, location of put-ins and take-outs are often estimates. Persons choosing to run ANY river do so at their own risk and with the understanding that ALL rivers at ANY level can be dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. The same goes for any side information that may be listed such as camping and hiking. After all, much of this is grizzly country and there is no accounting for who else is sharing the campground. Remember also, some of these runs are regularly ran in rafts and canoes but the descriptions listed in our guide are from a kayaker's perspective. Water levels listed try to reflect a generally acceptable (and yes subjective) level that match the river class. BUT this too may change depending on any number of factors, not the least of which is the river runners skill level. It's also worth noting that lower water doesn't necessarily mean easier and safer water. Often low water exposes hazards not present at higher levels.
