Basically we feel that the RMR rafts fit a very important need, it gets people on the water at an inexpensive and realistic cost. You will be thoroughly impressed with the quality of this boat.
Features and construction that impressed us:The RMR's construction is very good for the price. The workmanship is good with all welded seams, no excess glue on wear patch, no wrinkles in the panels, the 64oz lower tube chafer is pretty bomber, the tube fabric is 44oz and is built better than most Chinese fabrics we have tear tested. Nice removable thwarts, lots of well built D-Rings that are in the right spot and four air chambers in the main tube with Leafield valves. Size is fairly consistent with other 14ft rafts so when upgrading rafts your frame can go onto most new 14 rafts. Laced in floor which is a huge plus if you ever have to replace the floor.
Features that are less than impressive to us: RMR rafts are heavier than higher dollar rafts. The floor I beams are deeper than higher dollar rafts which can allow some water to sit in the valleys between the I beams. These are minor problems considering the overall construction and value of the boat.
